New features

Surveys: run phone surveys with your AI interviewer. A new Surveys module lets you author a questionnaire (sections, questions, answer options, routing rules and outcomes), publish it, and have your AI voice agent run it over the phone. Voxworks turns the survey into a call script for you, so it runs like any other script. Surveys is in beta and available to accounts enabled by the Voxworks team. Speak to the Voxworks team if you would like access. See Surveys. Cancel a scheduled call from the Call Log. A call that’s still Scheduled now has a cancel button in the Play column (“Cancel this call so it is never placed”). The call moves to Cancelled and is never placed. Previously this was only possible through the API. See Scheduling calls. Collect a value by text message. The new SMS | Get Value - v0.1 tool is for details that are easier to type than say, such as a registration or policy number. The assistant asks whether the caller can reply to a text, sends it to their Australian mobile, waits for the reply, pulls out the value and checks it against an optional format. The value is written to sms.value, and the tool routes on whether a value came back. See SMS | Get Value. Cold transfers now ring, and come back to the script if nobody answers. On a cold transfer the caller now hears a ringback tone while the destination rings, along with any carrier announcements. If the destination doesn’t answer, is busy or rejects the call, a cold transfer now returns to the script the same way a warm one does: the failure message plays if one is set and the flow continues. See Handoff. Code Steps can route to a condition row by number. A Code Step’s run() can now return a whole number N to route to condition row N, counting from 1. A number past the last row goes to the last row. See Code Step.

Improvements

Handoff and Intent Pathway offers are always heard in full. The assistant’s “would you like me to connect you” or “take you to…” offer can no longer be talked over, and the caller’s answer is listened for once the offer finishes. A caller who says “yes” over the top of the offer needs to say it again once the offer finishes. This happens automatically, so there is nothing to change in the app. See Live Handoff and Intent Pathways. Speak to the Voxworks team for further custom configuration. Search the Call Log by phone number. Search now also matches the contact’s number, the caller’s number and the number called. Spaces and punctuation are ignored, so part of a formatted number still finds the call. See Call history. A contact’s details show every call. The Calls section on a contact used to list only calls from a batch. It now includes inbound and one-off calls too. See Contact records. A batch won’t launch on unsaved settings. Launch Batch saves your settings first and launches once the save succeeds. Source lists in a batch’s settings show their contact counts. See Batches. Your team’s ID is one click away. Settings → General now shows the Team UUID under the team name with a copy button, which is useful when support or an integration asks for it. See Team settings. Calls, the Dashboard and the player work on phones. On a narrow screen the Call Log becomes stacked cards with a play button, call details open full width, the Dashboard’s filters fold into one row, and the docked player switches to a phone layout. Desktop layouts are unchanged. See Call history.
