What is on the Settings tab?
Settings is the last tab in Setup mode of the survey workspace. The panel explains: “The survey’s identity and where it came from. The shell’s own content — the agent, the FAQs, the behaviours, the gatekeeper and the closings — is authored on the Questions tab.” So this tab is about the survey as a whole. The interviewer’s voice, persona and call settings are in the Agent fixed section on the Questions tab, not here.General
“Name and description apply across every version of the survey.”
Click Save settings. The confirmation is Survey settings saved. Saving needs the
surveys.edit permission.
The name is also the study name spoken on inbound calls if you leave Study name in the Agent section and the first section’s title empty.
Source provenance
For a survey imported from a file, this card records exactly what was uploaded, one block per source:
For a survey created in Voxworks, the card reads “Native Voxworks survey — no external source snapshot.”
The Source details link on an imported survey’s header opens this card. See Importing surveys.
Compiled identity
“Allocated on the first compile and reused by every version after it.”
The script and flows are created once, on the first compile, and every later compile and publish updates the same ones. That means the script you add to a batch or assign to a number keeps working as you publish new versions — it always runs the latest published version.
Click the script id under Script to open it in Call Scripts, where you can place a test call or see its versions. See Running a survey.
What is not on this tab
- Voice — chosen in the Agent section.
- Channel and language — shown read-only on the Readiness tab. Surveys created in the app are voice, in English.
- Direction — every survey runs both outbound and inbound; the Gatekeeper has a pane for each.
