Responses

The Responses tab in Results mode lists every session that matches the Results filters. Test sessions carry a Test badge, and appear only when Include test sessions is on. Calls that ended at the gatekeeper — voicemail, no answer, declined or callback at the greeting — are not sessions and do not appear here. See the Contact funnel on the Overview tab.

A single response

Click a row to open the response. All responses takes you back to the list. The header shows the session’s status, its outcome code, and a Test badge for test sessions. A line underneath says either “test session — excluded from results by default” or “live data, not a test session”.

The call

Click Open call record to slide the session’s call record — with its recording and transcript — over the page without leaving the survey. If the call has since been removed, it reads “This call record is no longer available.” See Call Details.

Answers

“In presented order · normalized values” — each answer in the order the questions were asked, showing the recorded value, plus: With no answers: “This session stored no answers.”

Session variables

The details stored with the session, such as call_status, batch_id and answers_written — not the call’s custom variables, which are on the call record (see Survey variables and piping). With nothing stored: “No variables stored against this session.” The card is marked Full access or Permission-gated. Without the surveys.responses.sensitive permission, the respondent key is hidden: “The respondent key is hidden — it needs the sensitive responses permission.”

Export

The Export tab (also the Export button in the Results bar) downloads the answers behind the current filters. The panel, Export the filtered cohort, explains: “One row per answer, carrying the session status, outcome code, test flag, occurrence key, recognition confidence and finality — so the export can be re-aggregated without trusting these figures.” It shows (n) sessions · (m) answers for the current filters. Click Download CSV. The file is named after the survey — (survey-name)-responses.csv. Change the Version, Range, Status, Outcome or Include test sessions filters first to export a different set.

CSV columns

To count respondents, filter on is_final = true and count distinct session_id values. Calls that ended at the gatekeeper are not in the export, because they have no session.
